Lighthouse Outreach, Inc. is a community based, grass roots organization founded in 2001 and incorporated in 2005. Lighthouse was founded with the philosophy of “to be effective, a program must focus not just on a city, but on the individuals who live there."
In 2007, Lighthouse Outreach was awarded a Community-Based Abstinence Education (CBAE) program grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The mission of the Lighthouse Outreach, Inc. is to help adolescents’ ages 12-18 develop positive decision making skills regarding sexual behaviors, choices and attitudes about premarital sexual activity, while providing resources for financial self-sufficiency and character/leadership development.
